Lurking in the bushes near Pokrovsk in eastern Ukraine is a unit of men who have two things in common: The short amount of time they have served defending their nation and time spent behind bars.

The 15 infantry men of the 59th Brigade, part of the Shkval – or wind gust – battalion are former prisoners. Convicted of a variety of crimes, they see their service in defense of Ukraine as redemption and a chance at a new life without a criminal record.

The catch for prisoners is that they are contracted to the military until the end of the war. There is also a considerable financial incentive: Wages range from $500 to $4,000 per month, depending on time spent on the front line, according to the Ukrainian defense ministry.

Among the recruits is Vitaly, 41, a recovered addict and a father-of-five. He asked to be identified by first name only for security reasons.

Perched on a tree stump, Vitaly mumbles: “My life was crazy. I grew up with bandits, as did all of our guys (in the unit).”

But by joining the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, he saw an opportunity.

“I need to turn the page of my life. My life was a mess. It’s better to be useful here, to be around brothers … and a completely different social circle,” he said.

He’s been in the trenches for three months following a short, 21-day training period. Vitaly has no regrets about his choice to join the army, but he said he was naive about what to expect.

“Life is hard here, it’s fun … but I didn’t think it would be this hard,” he said.

Life as an infantry soldier is particularly dangerous with casualties higher than other members of the military. Infantry soldiers are often exposed to Russian drone attacks and storming trenches as they traverse large expanses of land by foot.

Vitaly recalls a particularly brutal drone attack on a comrade.

“He was taken apart. It is so hard to watch… but what can you do? You can’t help. You need to leave them behind because half of the man is already gone,” he said.

In June, the defense ministry launched an initiative that gives prisoners the chance to serve in the army, in exchange for freedom after the war.

With life on the front line more challenging than many expected, Vitaly now wishes that he’d paid closer attention during his short training. He thinks it may have better prepared him for what was to come.

“We were stupid and didn’t take it seriously. We were not responsible; it was a mistake not to listen or pay attention,” he said.

Keeping the peace

Ensuring there is no disruption to the peace in the unit is Oleksandr, the company commander.

Vitaly’s company commander Oleksandr is no stranger to convicts. He left his position as a prison guard in February 2022, when the war began. Now, despite his protestations, he is back in his old job – but this time, on the battlefield.

“They see me as a former prison guard, as a brother-in-arms, as a commander, everyone here lives as one family,” Oleksandr, who also asked to be identified only by his first name, said of the soldiers, adding, “I am a psychologist, father, mother, everything.”

Along with the 15 prisoners already in his unit, he’s expecting a further 25 from the prison where he used to work.

Oleksandr said that many convicts, like Vitaly, signed up with the aim of reforming themselves.

“Many of them have families in front of whom they were ashamed of what they did. They have children who are told that their father is a convict. When he joins the armed forces, he is no longer a convict – but a hero,” Oleksandr said.

Still, morale may be Ukraine’s only hope in Pokrovsk as Russian forces zero in on the town.

At sundown in the town, the streets empty and the artillery barrages begin.

Russian forces are only 8 kilometers (5 miles) away, according to a map dated September 10 from DeepState, a group that monitors the progress of Russian forces in Ukraine that has links to Ukraine’s security services.

Pokrovsk is a vital supply town for eastern Ukrainian forces fighting back the tides of Russian soldiers. Its capture would be a coup for Putin as he looks to take control of the entire region of Donetsk. It could result in a withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from Chasiv Yar and the line of contact moving closer to the much larger cities of Kramatorsk and Sloviansk.

Oleksandr is aware of the unenviable task of holding the Russians at bay, but thinks his troops have a skill that others don’t.

“The convict sub-culture is used to surviving. This means physical endurance, moral endurance, plus cunning, logical thinking, much higher than those of ordinary civilians.”

Dozens of people have been arrested after protesters clashed with police at a major defense expo in Australia on Wednesday, which saw some demonstrators set fire to bins and target police horses and officers respond with pepper spray, according to local media.

Police officers struggled to control the crowd of around 1,200 people who tried to block attendees from entering the Land Forces international exposition in downtown Melbourne.

The three-day event brings defense experts from around the world and showcases military equipment, heavy-duty trucks, semi-automatic guns and other weapons.

The protests come at a time when heightened tensions sparked by global conflicts have deepened public anger in many countries towards the arms industry and its profits.

Victoria Police said 33 people have been arrested for offenses including assault, arson, blocking roadways, and assault of a police officer.

Some of the protesters threw horse manure, rocks, and fruit at police, according to Victoria Police and media reports.

The organization behind the protests, Disrupt Land Forces, said in an open letter they “unequivocally oppose the glorification of death, destruction, and genocide being carried out with weapons developed on this continent and showcased at Land Forces.”

The group called for an end to funding “states engaged in genocide and militarized repression,” including Israel.

More than 40,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since Israel launched its war on Hamas, according to the health ministry in the enclave. The Israeli government has vowed to wipe out Hamas following the group’s attacks on October 7, in which 1,200 Israelis were killed and 250 taken hostage, according to Israeli authorities.

Attendees targeted

Protesters heckled attendees making their way into the expo Wednesday, 9 News reported.

“We have seen many delegates coming through and we want to make it uncomfortable for these (people) to go inside and make million-dollar contracts and buy more weapons or sell weapons that are going to be used to commit genocide in Palestine and other places in the world,” protester Natalie Farah told 9 News.

Israel’s offensive in Gaza is being investigated by the International Court of Justice, in a case lodged by South Africa which accused Israel of genocide against Palestinian people. Israel has denied that characterization as “grossly distorted.”

Jacinta Allan, Victoria state premier, strongly criticized any protesters making threats or using violence against police officers.

“They’re doing their job supporting community safety,” Allan told Australian public broadcaster, the ABC.

“They deserve to be treated absolutely with respect by people who are attending this protest.”

About 1,000 firms from 31 countries are expected to attend the expo, according to the event’s website.

The disruption has caused traffic chaos across downtown Melbourne. Police have closed several major roads and urged motorists to avoid parts of the city, Reuters reported.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said people had the right to protest but had to do so peacefully.

Speaking to ABC Radio National from Melbourne before the conference started on Wednesday, Bec Shrimpton, director of defense strategy and national security at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute said “it’s very unfair to tarnish everybody with a genocide brush.”

“The world is not as we would all like it to be and it is not a peaceful and stable place at the moment. Things like this event are actually really, really important to help with the defense of our nation and our national interests,” Shrimpton said.

But some local politicians have voiced support for the protesters.

Gabrielle de Vietri, a member of the Victorian Greens who sits in the state parliament, said the state government “is turning our city into a display of war machines, spending millions to protect the profits of genocide.”

“We pleaded for them to cancel Land Forces, but they didn’t listen. Disruption is all we have left,” de Vietri wrote on X.

The Victorian Greens have called for an independent inquiry into Victoria Police’s use of force at the protests, according to a post by the leader to X.

EURAUD and EURNZD: EURAUD is coming off the weekly high

  • During this morning’s Asian trading session, the EURAUD rose to 1.65425, forming a new two-week high
  • On Thursday, the EURNZD rose to a new weekly high at the 1.79272 level

EURAUD chart analysis

During this morning’s Asian trading session, the EURAUD rose to 1.65425, forming a new two-week high. After that, there was a decline in the bullish momentum, and the pair began to retreat. We are now at 1.64900 and close to testing the daily open price. Additional support at that level is the EMA 50 moving average. In the previous days, we had his support for our bullish trend, and we expect that today.

Potential higher targets are 1.65200 and 1.65400 levels. For a bearish option, we need a negative consolidation and pullback down to the 1.64400 level. Thus, the EURAUD would descend to stronger support in the EMA 200 moving average. Failure to stay above this time will push us below and add to the bearish trend. Potential lower targets are 1.64200 and 1.64000 levels.

EURNZD chart analysis

On Thursday, the EURNZD rose to a new weekly high at the 1.79272 level. After that, the pair goes into lateral consolidation in the 1.78400-1.79000 range. The current pressure is on the lower level, and a break below and the formation of a new daily low could easily happen. EMA 50 and EMA 200 are on the bearish side and put additional pressure on EURNZD. Potential lower targets are 1.78200 and 1.78000 levels.

For a bullish option, we need a positive consolidation and a return to start above the moving averages and 1.78800. When we see it on the chart, we can hope to initiate a new bullish impulse and recovery to higher levels. Potential higher targets are 1.79000 and 1.79200 levels.

S&P 500 and Nasdaq under heavy bearish pressure this week

  • A new weekly low for the S&P 500 index was formed today at the 5457.6 level
  • Today, the Nasdaq retreated to 18663.4 to a new weekly low

S&P 500 chart analysis

A new weekly low for the S&P 500 index was formed today at the 5457.6 level. During this morning’s Asian session, we had an attempt to hold above the 5480.0 level. We failed to do so and saw a break below that brought us down to today’s low. For now, the S&P 500 is managing to hold on to this low and has a chance to start a recovery. If it does not succeed, we will go to a new low and extend the bearish scenario.

Potential lower targets are 5440.0 and 5420.0 levels. For a bullish option, we need a positive consolidation above the 5500.0 daily open price. Then, we need to stabilize up there before continuing further growth to the bullish side. Potential higher targets are 5520.0 and 5540.0 levels.

Nasdaq chart analysis

Today, the Nasdaq retreated to 18663.4 to a new weekly low. This morning’s attempt to hold above 18800.0 was unsuccessful, and we started to pull back. The index is now at 18710.0 and is trying to stay in the support zone. If the pressure continues in the US session, the Nasdaq will have to drop to a new weekly low. Potential lower targets are 18600.0 and 18500.0 levels.

For a bullish option, we need a positive consolidation and retracement above the 18900.0 level. This brings us back above the daily open price and increases our chances of seeing a continuation on the bullish side. We find support in the EMA 50 moving average, reinforcing the new bullish momentum. Potential higher targets are 19000.0 and 19100.0 levels.

According to SNTG stock news today, the stock signals are conflicting. Long and short-term moving averages have issued sell signals for Sentage Holdings Inc.’s stock, indicating a more pessimistic outlook. Additionally, the relationship between the two signals indicates a general sell signal when the long-term average is higher than the short-term average.

The lines at $2.07 and $2.28 will provide some resistance on corrections higher. Upon breaking above these levels, buy signals will be generated. SNTG/USD 5-Day Chart

By 2030, if the current growth trend holds, the stock is expected to drop further to $0.78, marking a -62.00% decrease from today’s price.

For SNTG to reach $500, the stock would need to increase by 24,408.60%, a highly unlikely scenario. According to projections, the highest expected price by October 29, 2024, is $4.27. Similarly, to hit $1,000, the stock would need to increase by 48,917.21%, and to reach $2,000, it would need a growth of 97,934.41%. Both of these targets are unrealistic, with the highest possible price forecasted at $4.27 by late 2024.

Final Thoughts

Overall, Sentage Holdings Inc. (SNTG) stock presents a cautious yet dynamic picture, with short-term fluctuations and mixed signals from analysts. While there is potential for moderate gains soon, the stock’s long-term outlook remains uncertain, particularly given its volatile history and unlikely high-price targets. New iPhone 16 Release Date, Price, Colors, and Features

Get ready for the future of smartphones with the highly anticipated Apple iPhone 16 model! The standout feature is expected to be Apple Intelligence, an AI system integrated into the iPhone 16 model. It can be accessed through a developer beta for iOS 18.1 on the previous year’s iPhone 15 Pro model.

We reveal exciting details about the iPhone 16 lineup, including groundbreaking features, stunning new colours, and advanced technology. Discover the key features and innovations that make the new iPhone 2024 an essential device.

The 2024 iPhone 16 Lineup

Apple has officially unveiled the iPhone 16, available in four distinct models, continuing the trend from recent years. Say hello to the iPhone 16, the iPhone 16 Plus, the iPhone 16 Pro, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max. These have some interesting new features—especially if you have an older model—to make you want to pay.

Among the new features of the iPhone 16 are a new camera layout on the base models, an improved camera, and larger dimensions. The real additions, however, are in the phone’s software, with multiple features based on artificial intelligence.

The new iPhone 16 takes up many of the points found on the iPhone 15 Pro Max to offer it to the greatest number of people.

How Many iPhone 16s in 2024?

There were four iPhone 15s: iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. This has been the same since the iPhone 12, released in 2020. So, it’s no surprise that there are four iPhone 16s.

Once announced at the end in favour of an iPhone 16 Ultra, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is part of it, with three photo sensors on the back. This model will be Apple’s highest-end smartphone. The iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus and iPhone 16 Pro complete the quartet of iPhone 16s released in 2024.

Thus, the classic iPhone 16 would have a 6.1-inch screen with the Dynamic Island notch. However, Apple would keep a refresh rate of 60 Hz to continue offering 120 Hz on the Pro models.

In 2024, Apple should maintain a range of four smartphones.

  • iPhone 16: the standard model, normal size.
  • iPhone 16 Plus: the standard model in XXL version, with greater autonomy.
  • iPhone 16 Pro: the high-end version (titanium, better screen, better camera, more power), normal size.
  • iPhone 16 Pro Max: the XXL version of the iPhone 16 Pro, the largest iPhone in the range.

New iPhone Release – When Will the iPhone 16 Be Released?

So, when the new iPhone comes out, given Apple’s usual schedule, the conference on Monday, September 9, should be followed by the opening of pre-orders on Friday, September 13, and then by a sale on Friday, September 20.

The iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will be available for pre-order online starting September 13, with deliveries and in-store availability beginning on September 20, 2024.

In rare cases, some Apple products have experienced delays beyond the usual 10 days after their announcement. Notable examples include the iPhone X, which introduced the iconic notch, and the first generation of the Apple Watch.

Therefore, it is possible that certain models could face delays due to issues with the supply of parts, phone manufacturing, or logistics. Rumours are also circulating that the launch of the iPhone 16 might be delayed due to the introduction of their new AI feature, Apple Intelligence.

iPhone 16 Design

The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are entitled to a new design. Say goodbye to the square block and make way for a vertical bar.

Why? Probably to allow it to film in 3D, using its two cameras as “eyes.” Apple’s goal is that we will one day see this content again in an Apple Vision headset. Apple will also add the “action” button, previously exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, to its new iPhone 16.

This button placed next to the volume buttons can be configured according to the user’s needs. It can open the camera, launch a translation, or any other shortcut you have previously established.

The capture button is one of the new features of the iPhone 16 and allows you to control the camera options by double-clicking on it or changing the zoom by sliding your finger, thanks to haptic feedback.

What Colors for the iPhone 16?

Like every year, Apple will introduce its share of new iPhone colours for the iPhone 16. Today, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus are in pastel versions in pink, yellow, white, black, and blue. We go a little flashier for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, with black, white, pink (we love it), blue, and green.

iPhone 16 Screen

The other big new feature concerns the brightness of the iPhone 16 screen. As we know, Apple is still behind on this subject compared to its Android competitors. While the firm’s previous phones have SDR brightness that can go up to 1000 nits, the iPhone 16 has an increase in brightness compared to previous generations.

What is the screen size of the iPhone 16?

The iPhone 15 had two screen sizes: 6.1 inches for the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro and 6.7 inches for the iPhone 15 Plus and Pro Max.

Apple is increasing the small screen size of its phones, but only for the iPhone 16 Pro: 6.3 inches for the Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max.

The screens of the iPhone 16 Pro are therefore larger, but this does not result in a larger overall size. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus retain a screen size of 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches, respectively.

iPhone 16 Display Technology

The iPhone 16 should debut a new design technology for the touch screen. This innovation should allow Apple to reduce the size of the borders around the OLED panel, including the famous chin.

The Californian giant has reportedly decided to rely on BRS (Border Reduction Structure) technology to further refine the edges of the OLED screen. It consists of compressing the copper cables that conduct electrical signals from one part of the smartphone to another.

New Camera Features

The iPhone 16 camera will evolve in its layout. Apple is returning to two sensors located one above the other, as was the case with the iPhone 11 and 12.

This will allow the iPhone 16 to make spatial videos that can be viewed on the Apple Vision Pro. The two photo sensors, however, remain the same as for the iPhone 15, namely 48 Mpx and 12 Mpx.

Apple has introduced the ability to take “macro” shots on the iPhone 16, allowing users to capture subjects at very close range. For those unfamiliar with the term, macro photography focuses on extreme close-ups of small objects or details.

New iPhone Photo Sensors

Apple is going all out on photography in 2024. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max feature a 48-megapixel Fusion main sensor, an ultra-wide-angle sensor, 48 megapixels, and a 5x periscope zoom (12 megapixels).

For the iPhone 16, there are only two sensors, the ultra-wide-angle sensor being conspicuous by its absence.

Another new photo feature is a button placed on the right edge of the iPhone 16 (when looking at the screen), the Camera Control.

It is located on the edge of the iPhone 16, and its function changes depending on how you interact with it. Briefly press this button to autofocus on an image.

Swipe it to zoom in or out on a photo. Hold down to take a photo. The idea seems rather practical and intelligent.

Above all, it’s paired with Apple Visual Intelligence, which provides information about a photographed location with just a button. You can use the same feature to get details like a dog breed, a bag, or even a concert poster. Clever, very clever.

Processors: A18 Chip for All

So, what chip does the iPhone 16 have? The iPhone 16 family brings A18 and A18 Pro chipsets. The iPhone 16 should all feature a 3nm A18 chip, with a Pro version for the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max devices tailored for AI.

A new engraving method (N3E) improves performance and energy efficiency. The A18 in the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus would also provide the power needed to run the Apple Intelligence features brought by iOS 18.

Does iOS 18 Reduce Battery life?

Since the iPhone 16 is equipped with a new chip, it was logical that Apple would improve its smartphone battery to compensate for this higher energy consumption.

Therefore, the iPhone 16 has an improved battery lasting over a day and a half. However, during the Apple keynote, no indication was given about how the iPhone 16 would be charged.

The entire iPhone 16 range is equipped with USB Type-C ports. Lightning ports are definitively abandoned following the latest European regulations.

What is the Price of the iPhone 16?

This was the big surprise in 2023: Tim Cook announced lower prices for the iPhone 15 than the iPhone 14. The new iPhone 15 went from 1019 to 969 euros, and the iPhone 15 Plus went from 1119 to 1169 euros.

Regarding the iPhone 15 Pro, the Pro model started, and still starts, at 1229 euros, compared to 1329 euros previously, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max remained stable, at 1479 euros, but with 256 GB of storage compared to only 128 GB in 2023. Is the same thing for the iPhone 16? No. Well, not a price drop but not an increase either.

So we are at the same prices as the iPhone 15. So the iPhone starts at 969 euros and the iPhone 16 Pro at 1229 euros. The iPhone 16 Plus starts at 1119 euros, compared to 1479 euros for the 16 Pro Max.

Apple Intelligence: Exclusive Functions for the iPhone 16?

With iOS 18.1, Apple will launch Apple Intelligence, its suite of generative AI functions. The brand stands out from its competitors with a local approach, which requires a lot of computing power for each query.

The iPhone creates a “semantic index” locally, which allows it to collect the right data at the right time. Nothing is stored on the servers. Apple Intelligence allows you to generate text or images, respond automatically, simplify notifications, or create emojis, all with the help of the new Siri.

Only the iPhone 15 Pro is compatible with the technology today. Logic would dictate that all iPhone 16s inherit it, thanks to their A18 chips.

In Europe, Apple Intelligence will not be available at launch but is expected to roll out later, either by the end of the year or in 2025.

Logically, Apple will play a lot on AI with its iPhone 16. Some exclusive functions will likely be revealed in September, particularly in terms of photography. A large part of Apple’s marketing campaign should be on the exclusive capabilities of its new phones.

Apple Intelligence will launch as a free software update in beta next month with iOS 18.1, macOS Sequoia 15.1 and iPadOS 18.1.

It will be available on iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPad and Mac with M1 and later, with the device and Siri language set to US English. Additional platforms and languages are coming over the next year.

Wi-Fi 7, at least on the iPhone 16 Pro?

The iPhone 15 currently supports only Wi-Fi 6, while the iPhone 15 Pro offers Wi-Fi 6E.

All models gain Wi-Fi 7, but there is no guarantee that they will all support it in the same way.

Apple could reserve the 6 GHz band for the Pro models, limiting the iPhone 16 to Wi-Fi 7 in 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.

The modem supplied by Qualcomm will support Wi-Fi 7 on all four iPhones (or the non-Pro iPhone 16s will make do with Wi-Fi 6E, with a generation gap).

Still, on the subject of device connectivity, the integration of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X75 modem could push the iPhone 16 to rely on 5G Advanced for a download and transfer speed much higher than previous models.

Final Thoughts

For anyone looking to upgrade from a 3-5 year old phone, the iPhone 16 is one of the best choices on the market right now. With cutting-edge features like Apple Intelligence, enhanced cameras, and sleek design updates, it delivers a significant leap forward, making it a top option for users ready to experience the latest in smartphone technology.

Former President Donald Trump’s top allies are rushing to declare victory after his debate against Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday night.

GOP lawmakers are touting a Trump win even as they criticize ABC News moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis for their handling of the debate, accusing them of acting with bias against the ex-president.

‘President Trump delivered a powerful America First message directly to the American people focusing on reining in inflation and strengthening our economy, securing our border, and peace through strength foreign policy,’ House GOP Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., said in a statement at the tail end of the debate.

‘The ABC moderators were not journalists, they were pro-Kamala activists who baselessly attacked President Trump leading to a 3 on 1 debate, while allowing Kamala to lie repeatedly. President Trump won overwhelmingly and will win again on Election Day.’

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., said Trump ‘exposed’ Harris as a ‘radical’ despite her seeking to reflect more moderate positions on firearm ownership and the border at times.

‘While Harris lied about her radical positions and spoke about things she would supposedly do as president, and despite the biased moderators shamelessly covering for Harris, there are two problems that Americans were reminded of in prime-time: she has a lifelong record as a Marxist, and she’s the sitting Vice President who could secure the border and bring down costs today,’ Johnson said.

Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, similarly told Fox News host Sean Hannity, ‘The moderators didn’t do their job, but President Trump did do his job.’

Senate GOP Conference Chair John Barrasso, R-Wyo., wrote on X, ‘President Trump tonight shared his strong vision to reverse the high prices and open borders of the Biden-Harris administration. He articulated a plan to unleash American energy and to get our country back on track.’

Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Texas, Trump’s former White House physician, said the ex-president ‘just DESTROYED Kamala Harris on national television and EXPOSED her administration for the harm it caused!!’

Meanwhile, Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., said on X at the end of the debate, ‘Joe Biden set the bar low enough to bunny hop over it and she still somehow managed to limbo underneath.’

However, not all Republicans agreed it was a clear victory for Trump. One GOP lawmaker, granted anonymity to speak freely, told Fox News Digital that Harris appeared to be getting under Trump’s skin.

‘She talks to us like toddlers but is doing a good job of provoking him,’ the GOP lawmaker said during the debate. ‘He’s right on policy but can’t keep to a message.’

Voters taking part in a Fox News Digital panel reacting to the debate said that Vice President Kamala Harris came away from the event with a victory.

Asked who they thought won the debate, 12 voters on the panel raised their hand for Harris while just five indicated they believed former President Donald Trump won.

Asked why they thought Harris won, many voters expressed that Trump did not know how to attack his new opponent in the race.

‘He is still in his head basically trying to run against Joe Biden,’ one voter said.

Another voter knocked Trump for not bringing fresh ideas to the stage.

‘Trump was so bad, he’s just like an old suit from like 1987 right now. He just repeats himself, says the same stuff, and she’s refreshing in that she’s different,’ the voter said. ‘I think if he had a different line of attack with her, it would have been more effective.’

‘I think she won the debate from my perspective, because he was so bad and he just sounds so repetitive, but I think she’s weak. She’s weak on the substance and she’s weak on the facts,’ the voter added.

But the panel didn’t provide only good news for Harris, with few of those participating saying that the vice president met their expectations.

‘She wasn’t very specific when asked certain things,’ one voter said. ‘She knows how to pull at your heartstrings. She knows how to be dramatic in a way that will touch the heart of Americans while avoiding the hot button questions.’

The debate may be the only one between the two candidates before election day in November, coming after President Biden’s disastrous debate performance earlier this year that helped launch a movement to force him out of the election and just 56 days until most voters cast their ballots.

A voter taking part in the Fox News Digital panel reacting to the debate slammed Vice President Kamala Harris for some of the rhetoric she used against former President Donald Trump.

‘Race baiting and fear mongering was a big part of her tactics tonight,’ one voter on the panel said of Harris’ debate performance.

The comment comes after Trump and Harris squared off in what could be the only debate between the two candidates before election day in November, beginning the stretch run of a campaign that promises to end in a razor tight finish.

But one voter didn’t come away impressed with Harris’ rhetoric.

Asked to point to a specific incident in the debate where Harris was ‘race baiting’ Trump, the voter pointed to her remarks on the ‘Central Park Five.’

‘I think that’s a hot button issue, especially for a lot of African Americans, but she leaves out a lot of specifics to that,’ the voter said, like the lead prosecutor was a Democrat at the time,’ the voter said.

The voter was referencing a part in the debate in which Harris accused Trump of having a long history of being racially divisive, noting that his family’s company was once investigated for allegedly refusing to rent to black people decades ago and mentioning that he called for the death penalty for the Central Park Five, who were falsely accused of raping a Manhattan jogger in 1989.

‘I think he was gaslit throughout the entire debate, and that is probably why he was so defensive,’ the voter said. ‘Even when he brought up the topic of race, he brought that up because she’s pandering, she’s using being black as a trope to get black votes.’

The voter concluded by arguing that Harris never elaborated about a plan for black voters, something she would have liked to hear the vice president speak on.

‘I would have liked to see her lean into the fact that ‘yes I am a black woman, and this is my plan black America,’’ the voter continued. ‘But she clearly doesn’t have a plan because she’s essentially not black.’
